A fragment of ancient Syracuse, reimagined in solid 18ct yellow gold.
Hand sculpted by RookFire and based on a silver tetradrachm struck in Syracuse around 405 BC, this double sided pendant carries the head of Arethusa surrounded by dolphins on one face, and a four horse chariot on the reverse.
The pendant is cast in solid 18ct yellow gold and is available as a pendant only, or with an 18ct yellow gold diamond cut round link chain in 16 inch or 18 inch lengths.
Each piece is made to order. Please allow approximately 2 to 4 weeks for casting, individual finishing and UK hallmarking, with timing depending on seasonal demand.
The hand sculpted relief gives this pendant an ancient feel, echoing the character of the original Syracusan coin.
Part of the RookFire Ancient Collection.
